Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Troopo account or using the Troopo app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Troopo account. Troopo is designed for parents and guardians to coordinate activities for their children.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Your account is linked to your phone number. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Troopo only for its intended purpose: coordinating playdates and activities for children. You will not:

  • Use the app to harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • Post false or misleading information
  • Use the app for any commercial or solicitation purposes
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts
  • Use automated means to access the service

Content

You retain ownership of content you create (playdate descriptions, messages, photos). By posting content, you grant ConnectPeople Apps LLC a license to display it within the app to provide our services.

SMS Messaging Program

Program name: Troopo (operated by ConnectPeople Apps LLC).

What messages you'll receive: Troopo sends one-time SMS verification codes to the mobile number you provide. These codes are used to confirm your identity when you sign in. Troopo does not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.

Message frequency: You will only receive an SMS verification code when you initiate a sign-in attempt. Frequency depends on how often you sign in.

Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Troopo does not charge you for these messages, but your wireless carrier's standard messaging rates apply.

How to get help: Reply HELP to any Troopo SMS message, or email support@troopo.app for assistance.

How to opt out: Reply STOP to any Troopo SMS message to stop receiving further messages. Because verification codes are required to sign in, opting out will prevent you from signing in via SMS.

Carriers and delivery: Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and other major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent and sharing: By providing your mobile number and tapping "Send Verification Code," you consent to receive SMS messages from Troopo as described above. Troopo does not share or sell your mobile number, nor your SMS opt-in consent, to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. We share your mobile number only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) and authentication provider (AWS) solely to deliver the verification message and authenticate your session.

Privacy

Your use of Troopo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time from within the app.

Disclaimers

Troopo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We facilitate connections between parents but are not responsible for interactions that occur outside the app. We do not perform background checks on users.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConnectPeople Apps LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Troopo.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify you through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
